It encourages involvement and participation in, and the support of, our naval and military services and those Canadians who serve, either regular force or primary reserve. 2. It raises awareness of and promotes interest in our navy and 3. It highlights an essential part of our history, Canada’s history, the contribution made to this great country in the form, and often sacrifice, of service.
